ADULTHOOD AND CHILDHOOD TIME IN LIFE.

Some men who don’t want to be adult are becoming less productive in life and some men who don’t want to shoulder responsibility are becoming more irresponsible. In life, there is a transitional stage from being a child to being an adult. And you cannot continue to think like a child at a point of adulthood in your life. Being and adult requires physical and mental development with clear signs of maturity, independent mindset, good role model to younger ones and living a productive life style. Nothing is so unpleasant to see a strong and full grown man with no indication of health issues becoming a liability to his family , community and the society at large.

When God put man in the garden of Eden, God did not want him to be lazy and idle but He put man there to work and as well, enjoy all the luxury and good things in the garden.

Genesis 2:15- “ The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

God Himself is a hardworking God, a creative God, a God of design and a Mighty God who never sleep nor slumber. He is a powerful God that breathes same power into man to be fruitful and a provider not to be lazy.

Proverbs 10:4- Lazy hands make for poverty but diligent hands brings wealth.

Nothing gives a real man the joy of putting his skills and knowledge into work to derived the benefits and rewards out of it. It is indeed, a remarkable and fulfilled sense of achievement in life. Engagement widened the scope of reasoning, exposed a man to the new world of not only learning new things but leads to self discovery of the very best that resides in you.

Regrettably, in many homes today, Men are becoming sleepers and women are the ones staying awake to work and provide for their families. The Bible are against sleepers. Jesus was not happy with his disciples when he came back from praying in the garden of gethsemane and found them sleeping.

Proverbs 19:15- laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless go hungry.

If any man does not work, and cannot provide for his family, he deserves to be hungry except he cannot work on health ground.

Apostle Paul was very clear on this in the book of 1 Timothy 5:8- Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, especially for their own household has denied the faith and is worst than an unbeliever.

The fear of working and accepting responsibility as a man is the beginning of his downfall.

Let adult take the rightful place of being a man and the children enjoy the time of their childhood. An adult cannot continue to be a child forever.

Be blessed.
